Evansville-based Tin Man Brewing has been tapped by the Alberta, Canada-based Federation of Beer to brew the first Star Trek-themed beer for U.S. distribution. Klingon Warnog will be a Roggen Dunkle style ale with hints of banana and clove. According to Star Trek legend, Warnog is a Klingon alcoholic beverage served at O'Dell's bar in the Aneher II neutral zone between the Federation and Klingon encampments.

Klingon Warnog is the second release from Federation of Beer, official partners of the Star Trek franchise. Its first beer, Vulcan Ale, was released coincident with the premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness. A release date has not been determined for Klingon Warnog.

One more Tin Man Canada-related tidbit: Tin Man's Circuit Pilsner won Bronze in its category at the Calgary International Beerfest. 16 oz. cans of Tin Man Circuit Bohemian Pilsner, Alloy American Pale Ale, River Red Ale and Overlord Imperial IPA are available at the Bottle Shoppe, PartiPak Liquors and Shoefly Public House.
