Beehive Collective 

Earth House. Oct. 30. These young, tree-hugging neo-hippies might be onto something. In a world getting nowhere fast enough on issues surrounding poverty, environmental destruction and climate change, the members of the Beehive Collective are travelling the country, sharing art. Part visual arts, part lecture (they call it a picture lecture), the four members of this sub-hive of the collective are focusing on mountaintop removal of coal, surely one of the most ruinous, earth-wrenching activities imaginable - and happening right at our Hoosier doorstep. The BC roams the country, visiting schools, churches, community centers (like Earth House), inviting conversation and collaboration. Plus, their art work - giant, narrative-rich posters - combines Hieronymous Bosch-like complexity with revolutionary poster art. Behold them at:
