Starbase Indy: The 11th Generation, a science fiction convention, will be Nov. 24-26 at the Marriott East, 7202 E. 21st St.

The convention boasts an impressive roster of special guests: Jonathan Frakes (Commander Will Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation), Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck on the Sci-Fi Channel’s Battlestar Galactica), Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation) Alexis Cruz (Stargate SG-1, CBS series Shark), Gary Jones (Stargate SG-1), Gary Graham (Enterprise, Alien Nation), Dean Haglund (X-Files) and Deborah Downey (Classic Trek). Other events include the masquerade Friday at 8 p.m.; Dinner with the Stars on Saturday night; and a performance featuring most of the guests on Sunday. Plus, there will be gaming, making robots, Star Trek Jeopardy, a CSI workshop and programs on astronomy.

The event supports two charities: Cats Haven, a no-kill shelter for cats and kittens, and the Children’s Bureau, helping care for Indiana’s children who have no other options. Plus, Marines will be collecting for a Toys for Tots drive.

Ticket packages run from $75-$200 and individual one-day tickets are $45. Photo ops are $30-$50. For more information, go to www.starbaseindy.com.
