Aug. 3: Rooftop Garden Restaurant on the Fountain Square Theatre Building, hosting Taxman Brewing Co. Beer Dinner; 7 p.m.; four-course menu with five 6-ounce beer samples, tax and gratuity; reservations $55 at 317-686-6018 ext. #2.

Aug. 4: Triton is tapping Roddenberry Golden Ale 3-10 p.m: “Brewed for GenCon 2016, and celebrating 50 years of Star Trek, this limited edition Golden Ale has been infused with Roddenberry Heirloom Peaches taking you “where no beer has gone before.” 4.5% ABV 16 IBU’s

Aug. 4
: Flix Brewhouse
; 6 p.m. Tapping two special casks and the premier of Suicide Squad with guest tapper Jared Hiner, founder and president of Kammy's Kause the largest charity for a very rare disorder that affects his daughter and the niece of Flix head brewer Chris Knott. Follow kammyskause.org, to find out more about the charity music festival Aug. 19-20.

Beers to be tapped: Joker's Wild - Golden Ale w/Kiwi, Green Apple, and Brettanomyces and Harley Quinn Romance - Luna Rosa Wit w/Pink Guava


This is a "Buy the Beer, Keep the Glass" promotion with a special souvenir glass.

Aug. 4-7: Gen Con with Sun King announcing “We are thrilled to be a part of The Best Four Days in Gaming. Here's a few things for you to look forward to: 20-Sided Rye: The Official Beer of Gen Con — Tapping Party; August 3rd at 5 p.m. on Georgia Street. Live music from Water Street Bridge and The Way Down Wanderers, fresh local beer and local Indy food trucks.

Sun King Game Night, Thursday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m. on Georgia Street. Back by popular demand, the 20-Sided Die Rolling Contest (winner takes home a pass to Gen Con 2017 & other SKB prizes). New to this year, Giant Jenga Stacking Contest (winner takes home a Giant Jenga set & other SKB prizes). More games to play including Yardzee, B-Pong, and Jumbo Connect 4.

All-day beer gardens on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during Gen Con 2016.

Aug. 5-21: The Indiana State Fair presents the Indiana Beer, Wine and Spirits Exhibition located in the Grand Hall across from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum to showcase Indiana Beer and Indiana Wine with tastings and sales by the glass. While this exhibit will be educational and interactive, only persons aged 21 and older may enter the venue. 1- 9 p.m. Monday - Sunday.

New Event: Grab a drink, create your own masterpiece and sample some of Indy’s best craft beer from the comfort of the Indiana Beer, Wine & Spirits Exhibition during Taste & Create. Classes held on August 8 & 15 from 6-9 p.m. 

Aug. 6: TwoDEEP Brewing TwoYEAR Party at their taproom featuring new, aged and cask-conditioned TwoDEEP beers, food trucks, outdoor games and live music, 3-9 p.m. Andy Meyer, the founder and owner of TwoDEEP Brewing Company commented that, “Over the last two years, we’ve built a portfolio of over 30 different beer brands. We’re really excited to tap the beers that we’ve set aside for our TwoYEAR—barrel-aged They’ve Gone to PLAID! Scotch Ale, Dead Rabbits [Irish Extra Stout] and our first sour.”

Other TwoDEEP releases: Love Machine, a barrel-aged Cream Ale with Brett and the 2016 bourbon barrel-aged Brickhouse Roasted Amber Ale. There will be 15 TwoDEEP beers on tap alongside cask-conditioned versions of the KnightStick Cream Ale, Red Sunday Irish Red Ale, Brickhouse Roasted Amber Ale and Lake IPA.

Aug. 6: Upland Bloomington, 4th annual King's Blues, BBQ, & Funkfest. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington! Live music from 4:30–11:00, featuring King Bee and the Stingers, Dicky James and the Blue Flames, The Dynamics, and The Allures. Food provided by Will T’s BBQ and Upland Brewing Co.

Tickets: Adults $25 (includes $5 food voucher good at either food venue); Ages 6–12, $10 (includes $5 food voucher good at either food venue); Ages 5 and under are free All ages are welcome; Gates open at 4 p.m.

Aug. 6: Upland Carmel Tap House Crab Boil, 3-9 p.m. $25 at the door gets you four crabs and unlimited sides, and $1 pints and $3 snifters specials all evening. Rob Dixon & Trilogy on the patio from 6-9 p.m.

Aug. 10: Fountain Square Brewing Co., 6:30-9 p.m., Wednesday Jazz Night featuring The Mark Ortwein JazzTet. 

Aug. 13: 4th Annual Hops for Hope at Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 4-7 p.m. Join Triton Brewing and 11 other local breweries as we raise money to benefit the Hancock Hope House. Come enjoy free craft beer samples, unique appetizer pairings, music and fun as we help the Hope House homeless shelter serving the residents of Hancock, Shelby and Rush counties.

Aug. 13: Indy Beer Bash, 1-5 p.m. on Georgia Street features 70+ beers including “Indy’s best breweries.”  

Aug. 18-28: Indy Fringe 2016, all on Mass. Ave.

Indy Fringe's Annual Beer Tent: Aug. 18 beer tapping at 5:30 p.m. Promo says: “Show us your ticket on opening day for a free beer from 5:30-6 p.m. [opening day only]

Beer tent at corner of Mass Ave. & St. Clair has a special area reserved for under 21-year-olds; must be 21 to be at bar. The hours of operation during the fest is weekdays 5:30-11 p.m. and weekends 1-11 p.m.

Features four beers on tap and in cans: Bell’s Two-Hearted, Oscar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale, Upland’s Champagne Velvet. Tin Man’s Damascene Apricot Sour Ale

Aug. 20: WAMMfest (wine, art, music and microbrew) from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Craig Park.  Proceeds benefit a variety of nonprofit organizations.

Aug. 25
: Girls Pint Out ladies only event. Mass Ave Ghost Tour, St. Joseph Brewery, 6:30 p.m. Amanda Wishin promises, “As the sun sets, we will start our chilling Chatham Arch and Lockerbie ghost walk with ghostly experts Unseen Press. Set in the Theatre District in downtown Indy, industry meets society in this spine tingling look at one of the most interesting areas of Indianapolis. Learn of Dr. Helene Knabe, Cockroach Row and Jolly Werner, and more all of which lead to mayhem and eternal life on earth after death.”

Your $20 ticket includes appetizers and beer samples at St. Joseph's and the Unseen Press Ghost Tour. 

Aug. 25: Rock Bottom College Park invites homebrewers to bring in a bottle of home-brew — any style — for an on-the-spot ‘best brew’ choice by RB/CP judges. Winning brewer gets to brew at RB/CP with head brewer Jason Cook. Stop in at RB/CP for more information.

Aug. 27: “The first ever in Columbus, Indiana, Craft Beerfest;” 3 p.m. at Mill Race Park. All proceeds to benefit the Columbus Park Foundation.

Aug. 27: Annual Hops & Flip Flops Craft Beer Festival hosted by Daredevil. 25 participating breweries from across Indiana and nationwide. Benefits local charities and service organizations. Purchase your tickets before they sell out. 

Aug. 27: Metazoa Brewery, Brews for Bats & Birds intimate event to benefit Indiana’s Dept. of Natural Resources. 1-4 p.m.
