Participants will "Storm the Floor" at the Statehouse starting at 1:15 p.m. Participants are invited meet in the South Atrium of the Statehouse for a cupcake and to mix with legislators and INCA members between 12:30 and 1:15 p.m.
Registration for the Arts Advocate Training and Arts Day at the Statehouse can be found at www.inartscoalition.org. There is no fee to register for any of the day’s activities.
In order to prepare for the day’s activities, INCA will present Attorney Emily Heimann from Barnes & Thornburg to offer guidance on how to make the most of your day. The training session will be held at the conference room of Music for All in Union Station 39 W. Jackson Place - Suite 150, Indianapolis from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Registrants are encouraged to check in starting at 10:30 a.m. At this session, attendees will be handed Arts Advocacy Packets that contain information specific to the district of each legislator. The packet information describes how state funds from the Indiana Arts Commission (www.in.gov/arts) were used in FY2012.
