"American Harmony" quick movie review

Barbershop singing is an art I've paid attention to only long enough to note that it's difficult and who cares. American Harmony is a treat out of left field, a fascinating, satisfying documentary following four competitive singing quartets over three years and three international competitions. You get to know the performers -- regular Joes during the week but stars on the weekends. I was at best mildly curious when I started watching the film; I ended up fully involved and eager to watch it again. 86 minutes. At Landmark's Keystone Art Cinema for one week only, June 5-11. Don't miss it.
