Also, free in-store today by Big Damn Band

Today, Indiana's own Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band releases their newest album, The Wages.

In celebration, The Rev is bringing his motley crew to Indy CD & Vinyl for a free, all-ages, in-store performance at 7 p.m.

If you were at Nuvo's 20th Anniversary party (and shame on you if you weren't!) you know firsthand what a fun and wild live show the band puts on. Be sure to arrive early; those narrow aisles inside the record shop are sure to be overflowing with fans.

I attended the in-store performance for the band's release of their last album, The Whole Fam Damnily, and certainly won't be missing tonight's event either. It's a unique opportunity to hear the stories behind the songs come directly from the mouth that sings them. Although they're a nationally recognized group getting ready to join the Vans Warped Tour, The Rev and his band always remember their roots and return to Indiana to release new albums; we should feel privileged they choose to do so.

So swing by to pick up your own copy of The Wages tonight. Stay to watch the show. Hang out after and get your CD signed. And most importantly, support homegrown talent and the grassroots organizations who put their music into our hands.
