Nopal Cultural Center presents "Al Sur De La Frontera" an exhibition about the cultures south of our border. More than 10 artists in this group exhibition will showcase their newest work in various mediums. This exhibition focuses on contemporary Latino-American art, art inspired by Latin-America, as well as art that sheds light on Latino issues.

It is Nopal's goal to showcase this emerging art in Indianpolis to raise awareness of its existence and to immerse the Latino population into art they can relate to. "Al Sur De La Frontera" opens in conjunction with The Athenaeum's Karneval celebration which is themed around Latin culture this year. Opening reception for "Al Sur De La Frontera" is February 1st from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at The Athenaeum's ArtSpace Gallery. The exhibition runs through February 24th, gallery hours are Monday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
