Indy Pride is a year-round organization to be sure; for instance, the Bag Ladies hnave their day just before Halloween, and the Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival, now operated under the auspices of Indy Pride, is scheduled for early November. But Circle City IN Pride, the week-long celebration of Indy's LGBT community, remains the organization's cornerstone event, culminating with Saturday's parade and festival.…

There’s lots to look forward to this week, but I’ve got my main bead on Indy Indie’s “Wild in the Streets” event, featuring bicycle couriers, the same bicycle couriers we are featuring in our Mass Ave Criterium story on Aug. 10. It’s not just bicycles, though, but in the gallery there will be photographs, alley cat flyers and bicycles that have been hit by cars.…

Indy Film Fest has swung into its apotheosis of activities, including the closing night event on Saturday (7:30 p.m.) includes a screening of These Amazing Shadows, a documentary look at the National Film Registry, followed by an after-party that will include the announcement of the Grand Jury winner and $1,000 prize purse. Note also that the Audience Award-winning film will be announced on Sunday, along with other awards and screenings.…
