The Project School is vital to the well-being of its students. As part of my grant to bring poetry into schools, I spent much more time at The Project School than the Mayor had in the years it's been open. (Bright, engaged 5th and 6th graders who enthusiastically and intelligently discussed a myriad of topics. One of the students wrote a poem about me while I was reading my poetry, saying the experience "paralyzed" him.) And, it's one of Ballard's charter schools. Another one, you may recall, was taken away from him (Fountain Square) and given to Ball State. The Mind Trust looms, licking its lips, perhaps to seize yet another school? - a "seemingly ennlightened" organization, as David says. "Trust" is not a word I would associate with TMT.
