A fun project: Take the second sentence from Gerard's comment — "Just something to fill up the time before death" — and post it as a comment to every story on nuvo.net.
Nora, have I told you about my new freelance gig at Modern Pompadour, the weekly magazine for the sophisticated pompadour enthusiast?
Cara, I don't think these guys had a lot of robotics experience. You could make one yourself. Of course, I ended up stealing Punchy for you, but it didn't make it through customs. Sorry.
And Brad, it's a taco made from glitter and you smoosh it under your armpit. Duh.
Indeed. #Correction made. Thanks.
David,
Thanks for the explanation. I guess my question — and it remains an open one — is whether or not any smooth jazz musician at all needs to headline Jazz Fest, even if he is one of the best the genre has to offer. But I'm also aware that performers with mainstream jazz cred aren't always sure draws. So it makes sense to try out a variety of acts and styles. My other question is why everything — Indy Jazz Fest, Lotus, Irish Fest, Oranje — has to happen on the same weekend! Mid-Sept must be prime time for festivals...
Gentlemen, I beseech you to take this one outside. There are plenty of message boards in this town where you can fight this one out. But this, friends, is an ad hominem free zone. Try a little tenderness.
Re: “John Green: novelist, vlogger, force for good”
Lais- First off, glad you liked the interview! As for your clarification, I just checked in with Shawn Ahmed of The Uncultured Project regarding construction progress, and here's his reply: "There is still some construction work left to be done at The John Green School. I'm in Dhaka and not currently in the village that this school is being built. But, according to the last reports I received, the boundary walls of the campus as well as some internal walls and flooring are not yet complete. Also, other elements like landscaping and benches for students are not yet in place ... I am staying in country to make sure this school is properly completed. Official inauguration of the school is still a few months away at least." So there's the latest, which isn't to take away from how impressive the building already looks, particularly with that "John Green School" banner on the lintel!
And eno- I fear I may have impugned the right good Swoodilypoopers. I'll correct that footnote.
