Keepin' It Deep Presents: Steve Aoki & Datsik

Tue., Feb. 21, 8-10 p.m.
phone 317-418-6248

To support his debut studio album ‘WONDERLAND’, due out winter 2012 via New York-based Ultra Music in conjunction with his own label Dim Mak Records, DJ/producer and electronic dance music entrepreneur STEVE AOKI will launch his biggest tour ever: DEADMEAT, presented by Dim Mak. The DEADMEAT Tour will showcase the debut of new live visual productions from both AOKI and Datsik alongside an all-star supporting lineup of some of the most sought-after, up-and-coming producers in electronic music today, including Alvin Risk, Mustard Pimp, Autoerotique, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Terravita, who will perform throughout the trek on alternating dates.

STEVE AOKI broke bands such as Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, Klaxons and The Gossip through deftly marketed single and full-length releases on his Dim Mak label, which he began in 1996 and now has over 250 releases. AOKI’s punk roots go back to the art of the house party. Now, AOKI is readying the next stage of his incredible music career with his first proper full-length release with WONDERLAND, bringing a lifetime’s worth of passion for bands, DJs and artists of all stripes he has met and/or worked with over the past two decades to the forefront.

Datsik has been taking the dubstep scene by storm, blowing up dance floors around the globe with his original style of hip-hop future-tech bangers. In 2009 alone Datsik had over seven #1 releases on Beatport and vinyl sales through the roof on many other sites such as Chemical Records, Red-Eye and Juno. This April 2012 will see the release of Datsik’s debut artist album on Los Angeles-based Dim Mak Records.
