James got owned by a one word response. I think disagree was spelled wrong too.
Blame public education for that one

Mike Pence isn't a bad guy! He's a rotten top banana! Great story! What a fun group! They should be called Harry Cheese & The Salty Crackers.

Re: “A Privileged Perspective on Police Brutality

The issue of cop shootings at traffic stops or that shooting for fun that took place in CA are on the rise which is more than sad. How we can change it is maybe more easy than people think. For one we have taken the peace officer out of the protect and serve of the community. We need the police officer back in the community, walking the beat talking to the people. That has always been his job. I would first start with the ten point coalition and explore with them options on what can be done. Start with the group that is on the front lines instead of retread issues. Why should giving tickets be used to judge a cop. Tickets are used to make money for the city. My view you get a ticket and you do not have a ticket in 180 days you get the money back. All money from ticket fines go to the state general fund. The idea of taking property from people who commit criminal acts has to stop. This is really a con and has led to really strange events. Concealed carry permit has an interesting history. Cops do not like people with this permit even though people with this permit are not known to commit crimes they are in a way preyed on by cops. The black man with the permit was hit because he had that permit. From the license plate they knew who he was and that he had a permit. Black or white he would have been nailed. How many people check their tail light, really. Send them a letter and tell them their tail light is out. Follow the same standard procedure for stopping cars would be nice, if they think you did a crime then the process should be the same. Our city, our state has different issues and concerns from both the community and the police. It has to fit our hand like a glove. For a little fun, when in the era of my Pinto I did have the pleasure of Mr Cop standing and yelling at me while I was in my car taking someone to a meeting in a gated type community. Almost hitting my car, jumping out walking towards me with gun in hand. He was a cop who was doing security. I could read his ID while the gun was pointed at me. He was very close. He said he turned on his lite and I did not stop. I told him I was going to a meeting and was an invited guest. He tried hard to shake me up. My hands stayed on the steering wheel and I did what my dad told me what to do. I told him I was following directions on where to go and even though am very sure that his unmarked car did not have his lights on I said nothing about that. Calm voice like when I would talk to a pissed off dog. Slow speech and slow movements. Answered questions and no remark that would set him off and I now feel he wanted to get off on me. When I got to the meeting no one else had that issue. In my car was the guest of honor for the meeting and he was a PHD level Mental Health Counselor. Later he told me that I worked well in a very dangerous, stressful setting. I now think that that cop really wanted to kill me. If I had been alone in the car I would have been shot.

Re: “Ten times Pence didn’t make Indiana great again

CEC - it's funny how many pro choice people immediately jump to the "what about rape?" As in argument to support abortion - 1 percent of abortions are because of rape. 95 percent for a form of birth control. And that's the issue - with all the birth control options we have that prevent conception there is no need to rely on abortion for that. And it's not solely the responsibility of the woman, men should be just as responsible and do what they can, as should women. People always speak of "women's rights" in an attempt to mask the fact that you ignore the rights of the unborn. The fetus is a living human being, it's in the early stages of development but please someone explain how that doesn't make it a human being? Will it be born into something else? Will it develop into something other than a human? It's a forming human being, it's simple biology. Therefore by having an abortion you are killing a human being. I hope one day we can look back at this atrocity like we look back at slavery and say to ourselves, "what the hell were they thinking, that's so awful how could anyone do that?" When slavery was legal there were just as many people defending it and saying it was legal and it was ok and that they weren't actually human beings etc.

Re: “A Privileged Perspective on Police Brutality

You sir are a racist. For you to refer to "white people" as a collective entity makes YOU a racist. And not all "black people" are subject to the same experience either as a collective entity. Not all white people are the same and not all black people are the same. For you to refer to white people as "the problem" is JUST as racist as saying "all black people are the problem". So just knock it off.

Re: “Ten times Pence didn’t make Indiana great again

thousands of people and businesses leave Illinois for Indiana everyyear. Lower taxes, quality of life I guess are important to some people. Right to work promotes growth it's a proven economic fact. We are 2q trillion in debt and we are all talking about less important social issues. Can't keep printing fake money.

Re: “Ten times Pence didn’t make Indiana great again

Sad. So much ignorance that it's too tiring by the time I got to the end of reading all of the comments I pretty much determined that I'd rather not even waste my time and energy on posting even half of the responses I was ready to refute each time I read the pure and embarrassing lack of taste, as well as sense in so many "American" Hoosiers speaking out so inferioriously for all the rest of us, as though you 'know all' and ONLY your opinion carries any weight in a credible argument about what is "the right way" and what is "the wrong 'opinion'" regarding the delicate matter of civil&human "rights" of US citizens altogether?? Ironic lol just irony in so many posts, contradictive statements in the same paragraphs, ethical/religious/political standards of expectations should be placed according to a certain "pre determined consideration" for equality and human rights to be tolerated, lol you argue for the pure idea of a person's rights among not only our country but among God as well, yet you negatively utter nothing but the message of "ignorance and small minded opinions" while at the same time undermining and ruling out which/who of this and that is "alright" to allow bcuz YOU believe so, but yet you are all in favor of the U.S. Constitution and what it represents...? How about less conflict or "firing" shots at others in stubborn do opposition upon others and more respect for all mankind, understanding & consideration of a person's personal struggle, then yours, and how we are all in this together, can't u see how the more everyone argues w one another The weaker we become, and not united as we were/are intended to be as well as rightfully claim for our own self prosperity. People should open their minds a little wider if they are going to speak them...Especially with such judgment. Come together for a solution, not scatter apart. "We the people.." Not "you that one person..."
And as for those who just blatantly and subjectively made absolutely no substantial claim whatsoever, and say something so ignorant as "Obama has all the power"..?? Really? If u ever took a government class or knew a single thing about how the governmental operations and process works, (such as congress and senate having the power as to what literally takes place and what doesn't based upon their implied and express powers stated in the first three articles of the constitution, with Congress/Senate being listed in the very 1st article-for a very particular reason, executive-or president in the 2nd article and judicial in the 3rd) so the issue of "who claims presidency determines our entire fate" everyone? It's getting pretty old hearing about now. Look up Marbury v. Madison 1803, the most important landmark case in Supreme Court history...if u want to discuss the situation of "supreme law of the land" when the doctrine of judicial review was established influencing our society what our founding fathers worked so hard in consideration and compiling the constitution so that it would WORK and has proved to be so strong throughout history up til recent...redistricting and regulation of these positions of statutory authority and individualized representation are what will make "the difference" everyone keeps hoping for. Not the president. However, on that note though, it is downright just a disgrace to our country's historical reputation for those within our govt to allow such an embarrassment as Trump to even have gotten as far as he has already, muchless those of u among citizens throughout the country who support him??! Our founding fathers and all the men who fought and died for the fate of their country. Our country. Our next generation's future, and the fate of their future. It's all pretty simple people. We gotta get back to what once was but with a modern adaptation without prejudices, because it worked. And if it's not broke don't try to fix it. And that's my novel for the day. Goodnight folks :)
