So the liberal turned capitalist eh?....lol...who'da thunk it?
A very well written article about an awesome man! Thank you for taking time to remember his accomlishments.
Please call Angela Morgan 812 352 7769, Thank you
Better a Liberal without a cause than a Republitard without a brain...
Anyone else find it humoring how big of a hypocrite he is???? A liberal or socialist agenda supporting fool in Indy left for Texas.... the most republican state and a fortune 500 company..... stay true to your word you imbecile... Good talk.
ps... Indy will not miss you
Thanks for the great years of friendship and interesting reading. I will certainly miss you and wish you all the best.
How many times can one cantankerous blowhard say goodbye? And it really isn't even goodbye--as he plans on still contributing to the rag. What a waste of space in NUVO for the past month or so. It's a shame because there are certainly more talented writers like David Hoppe who could contribute to this rag...at least now maybe some of them will get their chance, and we can have something to look forward to.
I never missed reading Steve's column even though I very rarely agreed with him. The reason in a word was that Steve was entertaining.
Good luck. You are a great writer. It's sad when a guy with your talent has to take a job doing anything else BUT using your talent. The Star could you use, oh well. Good luck in Texas.
Now all the clueless neocon losers who listen to drugs limbaugh so they do not have to think on their own will have to find a new liberal target. Life goes on, Hammer will be missed by those that understand his wisdom but he will missed more by those that do not. The republican rubble types.
No we won't. And I'm surprised sHammer didn't cry out that it was a Republican plot to have that old woman run him over and hurt his foot. Shoot, he does that all the time by sticking it in his mouth. Wimp. Good riddance dipshit.
We will Miss You Steve Hammer!!
Nice article. So nice in fact,I think I'm sterile just from reading it. The entire Dearnt thing was just an exercise in feeding your ego. You simply had taken your perceived role of rock impresario a bit too seriously. So you decided to flex your impresario muscle and show Indianapolis that you could make an extremely lousy band more popular. You did just that for a very fleeting moment. I admit, It was fun to watch the reaction(s) of some of the locals to your attempt. Boy,were they kissing your butt. And you loved it. Moreover, there was certainly enough room on your butt for all of them to kiss it. Hell,I think we could've added the entire music scenes from several large and a few midsized cities and still have room on your butt for a few more lips to be planted.
Anyway, this article regarding your illustrious career in the world of journalism has been enlightening except for one thing.
It doesn't elaborate as to when you decided to become Indy's own version of Sally Quinn.
And it's hard for dumbocrats to accept they are idiots and led by none other than Hammer. And the lemmings like Reality has a liberal bias follow him blindly. Typical. Liberals without a cause.
You're so full of shit and you know it. You have absolutely no proof of Republicans "stealing" elections. None whatsoever, but keep telling yourself that.
More proof you're a moron when it comes to politics.
Steve...glad to see you've made it to the big time. Here's to making dreams come true. For a couple of 'old dogs' like us, the columns and the writing were fun! Mike, from the 'Recorder Newsroom' days. Keep 'em flying.
Frankly,I think you should hook up with the failed musician mentioned in your latest column of overt self aggrandizement. As a failed writer, you could be their Taupin to your Elton.
Sounds like a plan!
Don't you just love opinions?
I'm going to miss you. No really. Who else is going to play the role of contrarian dilettante?
Also,it's good to see you as of late writing with some genuine passion. Of course, there's a reason for this passion. You're writing about your favorite subject; Steve Hammer!
Good luck in San Antonio. I mean it. And,you'll need it. The people of San Antonio have much better attuned BS detectors than the sycophants in Indianapolis you've become accustomed to surrounding yourself with.
PS: Fuggit about the River Walk. It's a mundane tourist trap. The real San Antonio is beyond the tourist traps. I hope you break away from your comfort zone and explore!
PSS; In the end...just as you mentioned..It's all ephemera!
Where is the new column? New job must be keeping the Hammer busy. As for the haters who have posted above, if you look long enough you may find a life for yourselves beyond posting tripe.
Its hard for repuglicans to accept they are wrong all the time and for the Hammer to be the one to make that crystal clear.
Hammer was always a poser at best.
Look at that s*** eating grin. Hammer has pulled a fast one.
Claiming 'progressive' rhetoric on the one hand and coping out
for a cushy job in a state he 'despises' - a la redneck, separatist, gun totting tea heads. He fooled us all. Don't be
shocked when you see him driving an Escalade parked in
front of his gated community tile roofed house.
His 'liberal agenda' is certainly not mainstream. He only wishes it were so.
