Longtime ice cream parlor chain serving small-batch scoops plus baked goods at some locations.
Lick is unconventional, to put it mildly. Flavors like Chocolate Honey Goat Cheese, Balsamic Strawberry and Gingersnap Lemon Curd might sound a bit odd, but keep an open mind and give it a try. One taste will make a believer out of you. You can find Lick ice cream at the Broad Ripple Farmer’s Market and served at MacNiven’s Restaurant and Bar.
Trendy bistro serving crêpes, market-fresh wraps & sweet treats amid modern decor.
Here’s how it all goes down: you can get liquid base of your choice (whether it's regular cream-based ice cream, dairy-free fro-yo, custard, whatever), and a huge selection of additional flavors and toppings. It gets thrown in a bowl together, and then liquid nitrogen is poured over the mixture and stirred until it freezes solid. So there are almost infinite combinations of bases, flavors, and add-ins. You can literally have whatever kind, flavor, and size of frozen treat you want, out of the same shop, all thanks to that huge tank of nitrogen by the door. The Mass Ave location makes it a great treat for a day out on the town.
We're almost out of the warm season, but you still have time to swing by this adorable little shop while you're riding, walking or running down the Monon Trail. It's a small building directly next to the trail that serves yummy, classic ice cream and a few specialty sweet options: have you ever had ice cream stuffed donuts!?
