In addition to excellent locations (Mass Ave and Broad Ripple) and terrific staff, what makes Bazbeaux so enjoyable is the variety of options. Pour over a massive list of ingredients and craft your own masterpiece, or skip the work and choose one of the standard favorites like the Basilica, which drops tomato sauce for pesto, adds black olives and sun-dried tomatoes, and finishes off with feta cheese.

Taking its name from the 17th century room in an alehouse in which beer was consumed, Barley Island produces some of the state's best beer and serves it in several convenient locations. Up north there's the Old World pub house where we first fell in love with the brew. Now there's also a Broad Ripple tasting room. Barley Island has an emphasis on freshness - the beer is made from scratch as well as many of the food items. Menus differ by location. Broad Ripple is smoke-free and has free wi-fi.
Dinner and a show is B&B’s raison d'être — as well as its outstanding gift shop. Located in College Park, the theater entertains more than 155,000 people annually. The buffet comes with the ticket. Food prepared by the in-house chef, a full-service bar and gourmet desserts are additional features to the main attraction: the stage. While classic hits and well-known favorites — primarily musicals — reign supreme here, specially produced student matinees make this a theater the entire family can enjoy. The venue operates year-round and nightly (except Mondays when special musical-acts can be seen).
The Butler Writers' Studio sponsors the Vivian S. Delbrook Visiting Writers Series, one of the most impressive such activities in the Midwest. Over the school year, a dozen or more writers from all literary genres take the stage in various Butler venues, including the Krannert Room in Clowes Memorial Hall and the Eidson-Duckwall recital hall, to share and illuminate their own texts. Visitors have included Nobel Prize winners from around the world, eminent American literati and talented up-and-comers. Butler students can sometimes enjoy personal instruction and interaction with these famous authors.
