NUVO Says:
A sad little story about two brothers in Mexico who are abandoned to relatives while their father looks for work in America. The play is made up of very short scenes, and the material skirts issues instead of examining them. David Wierhake rocks out on a spangled piano accordion to accompany set changes. And, the play features a Choose Your Own Ending: It just ... stops. Mark Presto captures the innocent and exuberance -- as well as ability to pester -- of a little brother charmingly. Julio Cesar Chavez Juarez is intense as Older Brother. But oftentimes he is so soft-spoken it is hard to hear him. This production will be performed seven times in its original Spanish for a discounted price. Through June 8. --Lisa Gauthier
