They are the Lords of Modern Tennis. Poetry in motion, with novel-length volleys. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, one of the great rivalries in all of sports. L. Jon Wertheim was in attendance, as a correspondent for Sports Illustrated, during Federer and Nadal's 2008 Wimbleton tennis final — a contest that John McEnroe called the "greatest match" he'd ever seen. Wertheim turned that experience into a book called Stroke of Genius and he will appear at the ongoing Ann Katz Festival of Books event at the JCC, 6701 Hoover Road, on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 or $3 for members of the JCC; for more on this and the festival, which runs through Nov. 21, see www.JCCindy.org.
