Current Job Openings

So you wanna work at NUVO, huh? Good idea. The truth is, NUVO is one of the most rewarding places to work here in Indy. At least, we like to think so. (That way it validates our decision to work here.)

Anyway, check out our current openings below and let us know if you fit the bill.

Editorial Interns

NUVO Newsweekly is looking for editorial interns.

We are seeking journalism and digital media students who are developing a variety of story-telling tools that includes photography, writing, podcasting and vodcasting. We are looking for applicants who have a keen interest in covering the arts, entertainment and social justice fields.

An internship lasts a semester; hours can range from 10-40 hours per week. It's an unpaid position, but you will be compensated for articles and/or photos we publish in print. Products created for our web site can not, at this time, be remunerated. Interns will be encouraged to learn all facets of our operation as well as enjoy NUVO's access to the city's vibrant cultural life.

Contact Jim Poyser, Managing Editor, at jpoyser@nuvo.net or 317-808-4603.

NUVO is Indianapolis' source for arts, entertainment and social justice. Visit our website at www.nuvo.net

Promotions interns

NUVO Newsweekly is looking for social, outgoing, high-energy individuals who are enthusiastic about promotions and marketing to help us spread the word about NUVO to the Indianapolis community.

Promotions interns will assist NUVO by manning the NUVO booth at various cultural events around town, passing out papers and other NUVO materials, conducting enterto- win giveaways at the events and interacting with the public to tell them all about NUVO and how cool it is.

A promotions internship can last as long as you want. Hours can vary but will mostly involve nights and weekends. Typical commitment is five to ten hours per week. Promotions internships are unpaid, however interns will receive a complimentary NUVO T-shirt, free entrance into many of the city's hottest events and access to NUVO's collection of local movie, concert, and event tickets.

Interested? Contact Kate Franzman, Promotions Coordinator, at kfranzman@nuvo.net
