Awful news this week. It reminded me that it was a year ago this week that I won a Society of Professional Journalist award for the Gadfly comic I drew when the 1,000th troop was killed.

My editor (and friend) Steve Hammer started a podcast at Nuvo.net last week. I decided it would be a hoot to use the audio clips to create an unofficial theme song/bootleg/mashup from them.

Just my thoughts from my political cartoon "Gadfly" that appears in NUVO each week. Soon Nuvo plans to archive these, but until then I will post my favorites from time to time. I got the idea for this strip from "Night of the Comet," for anyone that remembers that film from the 1980s.

But more importantly, I thought it best to illustrate what would happen when we awaken one day and find that all the xenophobic rednecks have gotten what they've been praying for.
