BIO: Formed in Nashville in 1998, the Carter Administration have spent the last few years perfecting their own brand of simple, efficient, and exciting rock music. With three songwriting voices whose influences are as disparate as Guided By Voices, They Might Be Giants, AC/DC, the Smiths, Tom Petty, and Devo there is always something different to latch onto in the music of The Carter Administration. The Carters spent their formative years recording and releasing their own EPs and sharing the stage with such respected bands as Be Your Own PET, The Natural History, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Deathray Davies, and Swearing At Motorists. In 2005, they caught the attention of Theory 8 Records, who added the band to their impressive roster (De Novo Dahl, Apollo Up!, Forget Cassettes). The trio went into the studio with engineer Jeremy Ferguson (Be Your Own PET, Josh Rouse), and the result is the triumphant "Air Guitar Force One," which has been getting rave reviews from press and fans alike. The Carter Administration are currently playing the Southeast and Midwest in support of the record.
