BIO: Cursed For Manners makes music because they wouldn't know what else to do without it or one another. They are a band that is the culmination of many years of hard work, coincidence, and a fortunate crossing of paths. All of this, combined with each member's absolute passion for the brand of modern hard rock that they produce, brings to light a band that shows not only a dedication to their art, but a unique sense of bonding with their crowd as well.
Founded in 2005, after some time spent together as Oblique, with a few lineup changes, Cursed For Manners is a lovingly delivered punch to the teeth. Layers of guitar show off the melodic, yet lead heavy sound that is Cursed For Manners. Tanner McCracken provides the classically trained, melody driven guitar work on one channel, while Ryan Lee weaves in his Nirvana inspired, noisy guitar efforts on the opposing channel. All of this sits atop of a rhythm section that plays back and forth between the thunderous, metronome like drums of Chris Huggins, and the subtle, yet chord driven bass guitar playing of Tommy Miller. Finishing this off is the unique, haunting sound of Chad Leather's vocals. This wide variety of sounds meets somewhere between Black Sabbath, The Deftones, Tool, and Hum, spins all together in a five piece centrifuge, and gets spit back out as emotionally driven, melodic hard rock music.
Though much was accomplished under the name "Oblique", Cursed For Manners looks to the immediate and long term future as a fresh start, and as a way to express their new identity.
