BIO: “ This album is my life’s motto. My you-go-girl, that’s-my-man, anything’s possible, who-am-I all wrapped up in one.” Simple’ (Venus Wallace) was born Venus Chandler on January 7, 1977. Raised in West Point, MS, she had written her first song and children’s book collaboration with her sister, Natasha by the age of 8. She wrote many other short stories throughtout high school before leaving home at an early age to start a family and pursue higher education. Dreams to attend college were delayed but she finally returned to school in 2000 at Georgia State University. She transferred to Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis in 2003 where English classes reignited her desire to write. After the untimely death of her mother, she realized that life is too short and began to seriously pursue a career in music. She met and married Christian rapper, songwriter, and poet TonyWHOA! (Anthony Wallace, II) who produced her debut album, Simple’ Sayin (2006). She now resides in Indy with their 6 children and German Shepherd, Maddison.
