The Eiteljorg Museum will open Yosemite: Art of an American Icon March 22. The new exhibit explore the park’s visual legacy through about 80 paintings, photographs and Native American baskets from 56 artists, including Ansel Adams, Albert Bierstadt, Edward Weston and others.
Opening day, guests can also enjoy a camping and climbing experience, a performance by John Wallance as Sierra Club founder John Muir, a preview of the Indianapolis Women’s Club spring concert and meet members of the Sierra Club, Friends of the White River, Hoosier Environmental Council and more. A variety of lectures, demonstrations and workshops will be held in conjunction with the exhibit.
