Women in art market at Eiteljorg
by Editors Mar 12, 2008
The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art will host its second annual Women in Art Market: basketry, fiber arts, ceramics, painting and other works by 40 regional female artists. There will also be artist demonstrations and programs throughout the day, including a talk at noon by Suzan Campbell, the Eiteljorg’s curator of Western art history and culture, on “Women Artists and the Western Spirit.” At 1 p.m., Debbie Drye will present a demonstration on katsina figure carving and at 2 p.m. there will be live music by Sapphonia. Visitors can also check out the Ansel Adams in Yosemite exhibition. The market is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 317-636-WEST or visit www.eiteljorg.org. The Eiteljorg is located in White River State Park.
