The Jazz Kitchen will feature Mary Moss Saturday, Sept. 27. “The Lady With A Song” will be backed up by an all-star group for her Birthday Bash. Shows are at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Admission is $10.
Trumpeter/bandleader Tom Mullinix is back from Florida for a concert Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theater in Anderson. Mullinix rejoins The Naptown Strutters, who are Dan Hughey on trombone, Bill James on clarinet, Robin Hopkins on banjo and guitar, Larry Mechem on piano, Jon Block on bass and Gene Markiewicz on drums.
The Indianapolis Jazz Club will hold its last concert for 2008 Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Sterrett Center (8950 Otis Ave.). Mike Bezin and the West End Jazz Band of Chicago play from 2-5 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
The Bourbon Street Distillery (Indiana Avenue and Vermont Street) will feature Rick Oldham’s 15-piece Serenade Big Band outside from 6-9 p.m.
