Web Update: Carson extends sick leave
by Editors Oct 31, 2007

Congresswoman Julia Carson (IN-07) greatly regrets not being able to return to Washington on November 1st as she had planned. Citing further delays related to a serious leg infection that was treated in September, Congresswoman Carson said she will require additional rehabilitation.

“If you are frustrated about this, imagine how I feel!” Carson said. “in the meantime, I continue to work from home on the people’s business. Unfortunately, healing sometimes takes longer than anticipated, but I’m working hard to be able to travel back to Washington by mid-December,” the Congresswoman said. “My goal, of course, is to be back much, much sooner.”

Have researched the perks for the Congress reps. and find that they have it all their way. How can Julia Carson say she is doing the people's work from home when she does not know what is going on. How many days, weeks, months does Congress allow the reps for illnes. If they are that ill, they need to resign. m.

Illness

Julia Carson needs to change doctors if after all this time, she cannot get well. If she is able to work from home, she should be representing her job at Congress, Washington,D.C. She always manages to be in the limelight for a photo shoot, and parade. Get well Julia, or give up.

Working from home, huh. She can't vote from home. Resign, lady and let your constituants have some real representation. I doubt you will ever make the trip to DC again.

What a way to make a living...She was way too old and in too poor a health to ever be elected again in the first place...Now we are paying her medical bills and her salary......She ought to show some common sense and resign so someone who can work will help get this State back on track

Among the most memorable shows I’ve seen all year, the exhibition lives up to its claims: There’s nothing sweet about it -- and yet the work is, almost...
