One of today’s hottest country acts is coming to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Rascal Flatts is made up of Gary LeVox on lead vocals, Jay DeMarcus on harmony vocals, bass guitar, piano, drums and guitar (acoustic and electric) and Joe Don Rooney on harmony vocals, electric and steel guitar and mandolin. The trio formed in Nashville, Tenn., back in 2000, and they haven’t looked back — to say the least.

Since then, Rascal Flatts have recorded five albums, won countless awards (including a Grammy in ’06), scored tons of hit singles and have established themselves as one of the best top-selling country acts to date. This all has happened in the span of just seven years, and it says a lot for this trio.

Songs listeners and fans might be familiar with “Feels Like Today,” “Bless the Broken Road,” “What Hurts the Most,” “Me and My Gang” and “Life is a Highway” from the “Cars” soundtrack. The band’s most recent platinum album, “Me and My Gang,” has been successful and is the reason behind their current tour. Don’t think they will stop there, because fans can expect a new studio album, “Still Feels Good,” due out Sept. 25, 2007. 

It looks like LeVox and his gang will be around for quite some time, making more quality music and racking up more awards. It’s inevitable that Rascal Flatts will have continued success in the country and pop worlds. Their hit, “Feels Like Today,” is an understatement, because the musicians don’t just live for just today but also for tomorrow.
