Web exclusive: ‘Places’ for weirdos
“Places Like This”
Architecture in Helsinki
Polyvinyl Records
2.5 stars
Australian indie heroes Architecture in Helsinki are known for making weird, wild pop music for weird, wild scenesters, and “Places Like This” is no different. In fact, it’s their best weirdo pop effort yet. Full of jagged guitars, sing-along vocals and cutesy flourishes, “Places Like This” is the sound of being young, creative and fleeting.
