Web exclusive: 'Forever Tango' at the Murat
See the passion of tango in action when Broadway sensation “Forever Tango” hits the Murat Theater Tuesday, April 15, 8 p.m.
From creator/director Luis Bravo, “Forever Tango” combines expertly choreographed musical numbers and 14 expert tango dancers who capture the darkness of the tango dance, which originated in the brothels of turn-of-the century Argentina. The show is the longest-running tango production in Broadway history, having sustained two successful Broadway runs in the past decade, garnering multiple Tony and Drama Desk nominations.
World-class performers will also make an appearance at the Downtown Borders Tuesday, April 15 at 12:30 p.m. to sign autographs, perform select numbers from the acclaimed concert, as well as teach the audience some basic tango steps.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster: www.ticketmaster.com. For more on the show, go to: www.forevertango.us/.
