Indianapolis is bidding for the Super Bowl again — this time for 2012. Last year, the city was edged out by Dallas for the 2011 game. Mayor Ballard and business leaders think the city has a good shot thanks to the new, expanded stadium and its location in the heart of downtown, as well as the city’s experience in hosting major sports events like the 500 and the Final Four. City leaders say the Super Bowl will be a boon for business and local promotion.
