Thumbsup: Saving Lake Michigan
by Editors Jan 2, 2008

State Sen. Beverly Gard, R-Greenfield, has introduced legislation calling for Indiana to sign on to a regional compact intended to prevent Sun Belt states from tapping fresh water from the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes Water Resources Compact would provide guidelines and water usage and conservation plans. The Great Lakes and linking rivers hold nearly 20 percent of the world’s surface fresh water. Saving Lake Michigan
by Concerned Boater | Jan 7, 2008

Since our state boarders Lake michigan we have a great interst in what happens to this very important body of water. All the great lakes are suffering from low water, Michigan has been below normal pool for almost a decade and we can not afford to let other states drain an already dangerously low body of water. I support the senator's action. Kindest regards, Indiana boater

All the other Great Lakes have names we all can share. What makes Michigan so special that we have to carry their water for them. Let Michigan save their own damned lake!
