Tree planting in Indianapolis has been allocated $200,000 in federal funding. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, the City of Indianapolis and Hoosier Heartland Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. will work in partnership to plant 2,000 trees in Marion County with the funding that was secured by Sens. Bayh and Lugar — and the late Rep. Julia Carson.
