Thumbsdown: Disappearing act

It looks as though IPS will be closing five more schools next year, so far that makes eight fewer schools in the district – a reflection of ever-decreasing enrollment in the city’s public schools. Makes you wonder if we’re trying to reform our public schools — or phase them out.
