The Central Indiana Labor Council, AFL-CIO hosts the annual Indianapolis Labor Day Parade downtown this Saturday. The parade begins at the corner of Pennsylvania and North streets at 11 a.m. Over 40 labor organizations, corporate and community leaders throughout Central Indiana will join Congressman André Carson, gubernatorial candidate Jill Long Thompson and Marion County Sheriff Frank J. Anderson, who are the co-grand marshals of the event. Local food vendors will provide the eats, while the Cardinal Ritter High School band and Musicians Local 3 provide live entertainment.
