Thumbs up: Keeping the "R" in Carmel

A resolution to declare Carmel a “family-friendly city” with a “wholesome environment” was defeated 5-2 by the Carmel City Council Monday night. Supporters of the resolution reportedly hoped to make Carmel a G-rated oasis in an R-rated world. But the majority of council members found the prospect of sealing their community in a zip-locked bubble impractical.
