The meaning of soul
by Editors Jun 25, 2008

Soul Clap and Dance: Celebrating the Meaning of Soul is the latest original production from Asante Children’s Theatre. Asante has a knack for putting on a rousing show, but this year there’s a secret weapon: Emmy-nominated choreographer and Asante alum Jeffrey Page is on board as co-director with Deborah Asante. A blend of stories, myths, folklore and rhythm, Soul Clap and Dance opens June 26 at the Madame Walker Theatre and runs through June 29. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. June 26 is Community Night, when all tickets are $5. June 27 is Singles Night, when patrons can buy one ticket and get another one free at the door. For ticket information, call ACT at 317-895-6712. The Walker is located at 617 Indiana Ave.
