The divinity of childhood
by Editors Apr 9, 2008

Encore Vocal Arts, formerly known as the Indianapolis Arts Chorale, is producing a collaborative performance involving multisensory dance group Susurrus, members of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and Symphony, as well as students from the fine arts programs of Ben Davis High School and Zionsville Middle School, and Prevent Child Abuse Indiana. The program, “The Face of God: Celebrating the Divinity of Childhood,” will be presented April 12, 7:30 p.m. at Zionsville United Methodist Church, 9644 Whitestown Road. Featured music will include John Rutter’s “Mass of the Children” and Ralph Vaughn Williams’ “Toward the Unknown Region,” inspired by the poetry of Walt Whitman. The performance will include multimedia and lighting effects. Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors and $10 for students. Call 317-576-7676 for tickets or e-mail jotto@encorevocalarts.org.
