The Bucket List
by Ed Johnson-Ott Jun 11, 2008

Two and a half stars (PG-13)

Two terminally ill men (Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman) set out to accomplish the items on their “things to do before dying” list in the latest disappointment from Rob Reiner. The Bucket List is formulaic, unconvincing, emotionally manipulative drivel — and the special effects suck. Yes, there are satisfying moments scattered about, but most of the movie is shockingly lame, especially given the talents involved. It was a big hit. 97 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes an interview with writer Justin Zackman, a music video by John Mayer and a DVD-ROM link to two deleted scenes. Pretty anemic.
