The announcement that state Attorney General Steve Carter will not seek another term took a lot of people by surprise. Carter was a popular vote-getter, best known for his leadership with do-not-call legislation. His decision to pursue a career in the private or non-profit sectors will certainly come as a disappointment to the state’s employers. As NUVO has documented, Carter’s office overwhelmingly favored employers when it came to dealing with employee grievances.
