Look, it’s the A&E miniseries that aired last week, because you loved it so much that you must own a copy right away. This version of Michael Crichton’s 1969 best-selling novel about a runaway killer virus from outer space or something boasts a cast full of familiar faces —  Andre Braugher (Homicide), Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order), Eric McCormack (Will and Grace), Christa Miller (Scrubs), Ricky Schroeder (NYPD Blue), Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) and Viola Davis (Disturbia) — and loads of technobabble, conspiracies and paranoia. Parts of it are fun in a cheesy way, but too much of it just drags. 177 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes a commentary track and featurettes.
