Teen filmmakers make finals
by Editors Aug 9, 2006

An Indianapolis team of teen filmmakers has advanced to the final round of voting in Samsung Fresh Films, a nationwide teen filmmaking competition.

Over 6,000 teens applied for the competition and 100 of the brightest and most talented were selected by a panel of professional filmmakers. The 100 teens were then divided into 10 teams of 10 teens, had only seven days to write, cast, scout locations, film, edit and produce a 10-minute film, all vying to be crowned the Freshest Teen Filmmaker 2006.

Now in its third year, Fresh Films has created more than 50 films, attracted several Fortune 500 sponsors and gone to 10 film festivals with 65 million teens watching and participating.

The Indianapolis team’s film will be featured online for the final round of voting Aug. 10-16. Anyone can go to www.fresh-films.com to view the five competing films and vote for their favorite
