Tale as old as time ...
by Editors Dec 13, 2006

Indianapolis Civic Theatre’s popular musical production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast returns Dec. 14-Jan. 7. Last year, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast was recorded as the theater’s top-grossing show of all time, playing to sold-out houses on a near nightly basis throughout its run.

This year, Belle is played by Whitney Kraus, reigning Miss Ball State University and Miss Indiana contestant. Veteran actor Peter Scharbrough is the Beast. The show is directed and choreographed by Ron Morgan.

Show times are Wednesdays-Fridays at 7 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. There will be no show Dec. 24. Tickets are $33. Call the Civic, 3200 Cold Spring Road, at 317-923-4597 or log onto www.civictheatre.org.

Have brunch with Belle at the Mothershead Foundation Holiday Brunch. Meet Belle and some of her friends at noon before the Sunday performance on Dec. 17, 31 or Jan. 7. The event will feature food and fun, cast autographs and festive favors. Cost is $50 for brunch and ticket to the show, or $20 brunch only.
