Columnist Steve Hammer recently advised Beatles fans to “Let it be” (Hammer, “Let the Beatles Be,” July 4-11). In preference to whom … Michael Jackson … Britney Spears? Most of us have a soundtrack to our lives whether we realize it or not. His appreciation for them aside, perhaps Hammer came along too late for his soundtrack to be the Beatles. You see, it’s bigger than the music.
