Songs of the Earth
by Editors Apr 16, 2008

The Indianapolis Women’s Chorus will present Song Sketches Drawn from the Earth at the Eiteljorg Museum, a concert inspired by the Yosemite: Art of an American Icon exhibit. The concert will include favorite such as Cole Porter’s “Don’t Force Me In,” Disney’s “Colors of the Wind” and Harry Belafonte’s “Turn the World Around,” as well as a collaborative piece with local dancers, songs inspired by indigenous peoples and four original works created by chorus members.
Shows are April 19, 8 p.m. and April 20, 3 p.m. Tickets are $18, $15 for seniors and students and $5 ages 2-12. Parking is free for ticketholders. The Eiteljorg is located at 500 W. Washington St. For more information, call 317-931-9464 or go to www.indychoruses.org.
