Screaming
by Letter to the Editor Jul 3, 2008

I wanted to scream when I read Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita’s comment in your last issue (News, “Another Challenge to Voter ID,” June 25-July 2). It seems Todd is upset that another lawsuit has been filed regarding Indiana’s contentious voter ID law. He said, “Indiana has got some real problems, and this isn’t one of them.” I would like to remind him that voter fraud isn’t one of them either, yet the Republicans have been hell-bent on passing this measure for some time now.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the ID law in large part because opponents could not produce evidence that the new ID requirements had actually prevented anyone from voting. Were the Republicans in turn asked to provide evidence of past voter fraud that this law is supposed to prevent?

Note to Rokita: Gay marriage also is not one of those “real problems” that Indiana needs to fix.

Yes there is fraud
by Jay | Jul 4, 2008

There's tons of fraud. It's listed here: http://www.gop.com/votefraud.htm#Indiana If you don't like that site, go read the source sites. Even the libertarian Hornung said Julia Carson was helped by a bus full of supporters who went from precinct to precinct on election day, voting for her. 99% of vote fraud is done by Democrats and their helpers like Acorn. Gay marriage should be legal btw. We're all humans. There's nothing in the Indiana constitution barring gay marriage - same as in California - only in California 4 justices had backbones. The current Indiana Supreme Court, all of whom were appointed by Democrat governors, only occasionally find their backbone when ruling in favor of their corporate overlords.
