When I got my choice of haunted houses to review this year, I was happy to learn that my draft pick, Screamers, was available. Our gracious host with the most ghosts, Darrell Wilkerson, was excited to show what improvements he’d made in his sophomore year of operation. The attraction is up year-round, allowing them to tinker with it endlessly. Darrell has 12 years of sculpting experience and it’s evident: he created five creatures plus most of the props. The “Haunted Farmhouse” contains no standard movie monsters. Watch for the bathroom with the bubbling sink and blood dripping from a victim, and the Dollhouse scene. Take note of the custom-built Wall of Heads — you won’t see this anywhere else. A pioneer for originality and creativity, Screamers truly lives up to its name; visitors will scream from both fright and delight when walking through this haunted house!
