The Harrison Center for the Arts presents a new group show entitled Schooled opening Sept. 8, with an artist’s reception and open house from 6-10 p.m. The show features work by Elyce Elder, Kipp Normand, Elizabeth Guipe Hall, Kyle Ragsdale, Trevor Renwick, Aaron Tucker and Jim Walker.

Also in the Harrison Gallery: Herron: Foundations and Facades, new work by Ginny Taylor Rosner. In the Gallery Annex: work by Penelope Dullaghan, Quincy Owens, Elizabeth Sparrow Boring and Emma Overman.

In Gallery No. 2 also see Traverse, work by Tyler Meuninck, Jennifer Meuninck, Tom Meuninck, Karen Meuninck, Jessica Meuninck-Ganger and Jeff Ganger.

That night, there will be 19 open studios, a Queen Bee concert, dance in the gymnasium with Naptown Stomp, a Back to School car raffle to benefit the Harrison Center (raffle tickets, $2) and, at 7 p.m. in the Herron High School classroom suite, a ribbon cutting for Herron High School’s temporary campus and celebration of the Rolls Royce Sponsorship.

The works hang through Sept. 30. Harrison Center for the Arts is located at 1505 N. Delaware, www.harrisoncenter.org.
