Pro-life booth at the ISF
by Letter to the Editor Aug 23, 2006

I read Steve Hammer's column this weekend about the State Fair (Hammer, “State Fair observations,” Aug. 16-23) and am wondering if there was another pro-life group that was housed in either a "booth"(paragraph 1) a "trailer"(paragraph 3), or a "barn"(paragraph 20) that was militantly  promoting an anti-abortion message?

Our group Right to Life of Indianapolis, was housed in a tent located on one of the main entrances to the Fair directly off of 38th street in front of the cattle barn.

Our group, Right to Life of Indianapolis, does not sell or distribute any type of key chains, much less one that would have an image of an aborted fetus as a component part. I'm quite sure any abortionist will assert that there is not much left that is recognizable as a fetus after an abortion.
Finally, while we have bumper stickers at our tent, we do not have any that read "Sex? Sure! When We're Married!"

Our group is educational in nature and purpose and strives to inform the general public of the physical and emotional realities of abortion. As a fair and open minded journalist, I'm certain that Steve can appreciate how concerned we are that a radical anti-abortion group — one that "would consider murdering you on the spot, if doing so would overturn Roe v. Wade" — had a presence at the fair that is discrediting what our group, Right to Life of Indianapolis, is trying to do.
