Piradical Productions’ Second Annual All-Ages Punk Rock Prom
by Angela Smith May 9, 2007

The Underground (Harrison Center for the Arts)
Up! Scumbag, Harley Poe, the Five Second Cummings, Highway Magic
Saturday, May 12, 7 p.m., $8, all-ages

Saturday night marks the Second Annual All-Ages Punk Rock Prom at the Harrison Underground in the Old Northside. Piradical Productions, along with the Harrison Center for the Arts, will bring the show to life with local favorites Up! Scumbag.

“We were fortunate enough to be able to play at last year’s Punk Rock Prom, and we had a blast,” says Alex H. of Up! Scumbag. “I’ve been looking forward to playing this one ever since ... It’s by far one of the [most fun] shows to do around here.”

Highway Magic, also on last year’s bill, was happy to sign up for the event again, and adding more to the ghoulish-zombified punk sound are Harley Poe and the Five Second Cummings, who will round out the bill with some hardcore punk.

This will be the Five Second Cummings’ first time on the stage for the prom but its second year to make the event. In fact, it was seeing the show in action last year that prompted the band to want to be involved this year.
